Much of my professional life has been spent in higher education. For three decades, I worked closely with staff and students as both a tutor and a manager, offering guidance, pastoral support, and a compassionate space to navigate stress, uncertainty, and complex life situations. These years shaped me and my approach to therapy which is, I believe, practical, grounded, and attuned to the realities of modern life.
Alongside my university work, I trained as a psychotherapist and provided counselling for four years at LifeCraft in Cambridge and at Mind in Mid-Herts in St Albans. I then had over ten years of experience in private psychotherapy practice, supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
