Much of my professional life has been spent in higher education. For three decades, I worked closely with staff and students as both a tutor and a manager, offering guidance, pastoral support, and a compassionate space to navigate stress, uncertainty, and complex life situations. These years shaped me and my approach to therapy which is, I believe, practical, grounded, and attuned to the realities of modern life.

Alongside my university work, I trained as a psychotherapist and provided counselling for four years at LifeCraft in Cambridge and at Mind in Mid-Herts in St Albans. I then had over ten years of experience in private psychotherapy practice, supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I have a degree in Psychology, a university diploma in Counselling, a Master’s in Psychotherapy, and a diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy. I also have training in CBT, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused Therapy, NLP, and modern hypnotherapeutic methods. This enables me to tailor therapy to the requirements of each individual. Using evidence‑based methods that support meaningful and lasting change..
